I am playing to do 10km running in other country. I think it is fun to enjoy both the country and your hobby. You can meet new people, talk with them in your favorite activity. It is easier with people when you share the same hobby. Absolutely agree Globvel. We have even met people while doing our laundry. I'll take a look at that forum! Thank you very much appreciated! Hmm, that's actually a great way to look at it Totally agree, cheers Bob Loblaw. Like you say when im older booking a cheeky flight to a country literally around the corner is a lot easier than the like of Asia and so on..
Also, consider this: as a young backpacker you're not going to get that grassroots feel in Europe as you would in a more "exotic" location. It's easy and quite pleasant to live on the cheap in Asia or South America: sleep in a hammock, get invited to stay with a local family, etc, and that's part of the whole experience. Now that I'm in my mature years, I really look forward to visiting cities I've never been to for weekends: Barcelona, Venice, Prague, Vienna, but to really enjoy these you do need funds.
It's no fun being on a budget in Europe. In Asia, it's no problem; just being there, absorbing the atmosphere, is almost enough, and it's free. As the resident India fanatic here, don't make India your first Asian country. After Thailand and Vietnam India will only be overwhelming. But from the UK, well shellshock.
As the resident India fanatic her e, don't make India your first Asian country. But you're right. A friend of mine went to India for her summer holidays and I think she had a horrible time. I had warned her, but she kept comparing it to Thailand , where shed been a few years ago.
I've been 10 months in India over the last 2 years, and planning on adding another few months shortly. And I'm not even a bit Indian. So there! I lived 18 months in India when I was 22, been back year after year after year since than, consider it home, and dream of retiring there!
Does that make us quit? You're not going to retire there because of the Indian's idiotic attitude to visas. Oooops wrong thread! Ok let's stop this silly dick waving. You needn't carry heavy suitcases. You can go as slowly or as fast as you wish, stop whenever you choose and spend at any place as much time as you like. They were given the status of a national park in August , and are known as one of the most picturesque places in Belarus.
The flora of the Braslav Lake District counts more than species of plants, 20 of them are included into the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus. The main treasure of the district is its unique and diverse fauna. The Braslav Lakes have 30 species of fish, 45 species of birds are part of the Red Book. Braslav, one of the oldest towns in Belarus, is the centre of the national park. The national park is the place for passive and active recreation, tourism, fishing and hunting. The national park offers its visitors various one-day and multi-day tours.
A motor boat trip or a helicopter tour leaves an unforgettable impression. The guests of the Braslav Lakes District may enjoy the services of the local museum and tourist camps.
I can advice to start with the most famous and well-known London sight, Big Ben.
